#222 is there a safe haven on earth?

You would never dream a 5-star hotel would be the target of terrorism.

This was precisely what happened in Mumbai 2 or 3 days ago (27 Nov)! The atrocities brought 130? (update30th: 170) dead.

This carnage was meticulously planned and executed!!!

Unfortunately the first Singaporean taken hostage at the Trident-Oberoi Hotel found dead was a female. Sic! there was no mercy for the weaker sex. (I wonder how she died and the state she was in then.)

A decent and sane man would not attack a civilian unaware. But this is what the terrorists are trained to do — to kill innocent civilians unaware. Sic!

Those ACCURSED LEADERS OF TERRORISM who led the innocent young minds into something beyond humanity are sheer sickening cowards. They do not reveal themselves, hiding behind the innocent young who stood by their insane philosophies to life. These accursed leaders are inhumane.

These not only took innocent civilians unaware but condemned those who helped them carried out the attacks to death.

Are the attackers not serving death sentence handed down by these accursed leaders of terrorism?!

In war zone, both parties are trained for combat.

In terrorism…the passing of death sentence by their leaders on those who carried out the attacks on the civilians unaware!

We are made wise

NOT by the recollection of our past,

but by the responsibility of our future.

George Bernard Shaw

Changes…changes…changes going on all the time…man is always changing…and…rearranging — soaring food prices (no more cheap food), fuel crises, subprime, credit crunch, natural disasters, water shortage, going green, global warming, save extinct species…

How is man to live? These are certainly challenging times not only for governing leaders but the ordinary man-on-the-street.

At the crux, money is the issue. How does one live without money or having less or little value to the dollar? Who invented money? Human beings live to earn money to feed and provide for oneself… Human beings kill one another for the lack of money!

Terrorism is one result of madness after money or the lack of it. The destruction of the Twin Tower in New York (911) is a case in point…the terrorists wanted to bring the Americans on their knees through the economy but… The US concertedly rose from ground zero…

Today human beings become bombs to kill or eliminate the innocent civilians! Such hatred in the disguise of religion?!

Has man gone mad, very mad?!

Where are we going?

Dalai Lama is seeking the world community to help resolve… How does he propose the world community to help when this is an internal matter?

Did the EU leaders stand in solidarity not to boycott the forthcoming Olympic Games on objective grounds or, because Dalai Lama had not called for a boycott? What if Dalai Lama decided to boycott? Would I see the world boycott the Olympics then?

In the latest issue of Times magazine (ending March), the writer haloed how enlightened and magnanimous Dalai Lama is. Yet impressing me his slant at demonising China on human rights issue, a legacy of the past, on the present lot of China leaders.

If I understand correctly, each province is made up of local leaders. Are the local leaders in Tibet stooges of the Central Committee? Are these local leaders not given the autonomy to see fit the province ought to be governed? What is freedom of thought and speech? Are the monks being persecuted in their saffron robes or practising their religion? Criticisms made that Chinese flood the land but are Chinese nationals not gracing their presence in every developing countries especially the West?

I’m not a China watcher or a Tibet watcher. But pardon me and don’t get me wrong, I’m not pro China but — pressure-cooking or putting the human rights issue on the present lot of leaders in China is as fair as wondering if the Dalai Lama in exile is the one encouraging the recent protests and unrests. Surely the monks would not take on or initiate the protest by themselves.

Where was Dalai Lama when the Tibetans burnt the China flag? Did he call for restraint? If the monks revered and treated the Dalai as their leader, surely they would have acted in a non-violent manner. Where is the credibility of the Dalai then?

The US rallied coalition forces to enter Iraq as a result of the 911 attack on World Trade Center in New York. Surely the sole purpose was to fight terrorism and not liberating Iraq from their tyrant ruler Saddam to eventually build up that nation.
